Dear ENPP members

It is with great honour and pleasure that I welcome you to the ENPP website on behalf of the European Network for Positive Psychology. The field of positive psychology is growing fast around the world and Europe is no exception. It does attract people from various fields with different background such as education, health, sociology, business and coaching to name a few. What they all have in common is their interest in the Science of Wellbeing.  Therefore, it is of importance that we do our best in breaking down silos between fields and sectors and focus on working on broad collaboration between those fields to increase wellbeing in the world.

There has been a renewal at the ENPP executive board and the new board has been working on a new strategy for ENPP.  We have discussed the vision, mission, values and goals for ENPP, to make sure we as a community can contribute to knowledge for a better world. Our vision is to increase the prevalence of flourishing in the world. The purpose of ENPP is to create an arena for professional collaboration and fellowship for those who are working within the field of positive psychology in Europe. We see this as necessary to deliver on our vision.

The overall aim is to build bridges between sectors and that is in line with the United Nation’s sustainable development goals for increased wellbeing in the world. In more detail, ENPP´s mission is to build bridges between research practice and the public.

We look forward to discuss the purpose and the vision of ENPP together with you here on this website, on Facebook, twitter and at our conferences. We encourage you all to be active members. For those who are not members yet, please subscribe here today, it´s free!

Let´s work together to make this world a little bit more wonderful

Warm regards

Dora Gudrun Gudmundsdottir

President of ENPP
